VENUE INFORMATION

VANCOUVER CONVENTION CENTRE - CANADA PLACE 

The Vancouver Convention Centre comprises two buildings, the East Building and West Building. The IPPA World Congress will take place in the East Building, which is part of the Canada Place precinct and distinguished by its white sail like roof. 

*When searching via GoogleMaps or similar please note that the East Building can be found by searching for ‘Canada Place’ not Vancouver Convention Centre.

GETTING TO/FROM THE VENUE

ACCESSIBILITY 

Vancouver Convention Centre is committed to providing an open, inclusive and accessible environment for all attendees. All rooms and spaces are accessible via elevator or ramp, and the Convention Centre offers complimentary wheelchair services and TTY-payphones in both buildings. 

Apart from having accessible stalls and amenities in the Centre’s restrooms, there are also a number of inclusive restrooms available. These private spaces include an infant changing station and are wheelchair accessible. A comfortable nursing room with infant changing stations can also be found in the Convention Centre East building, providing additional convenience and privacy. If you need assistance or would like further information, please see the Information Desk on the ground floor Lobby foyer. 

REGISTRATION HOURS

The registration desk will be located in the ground floor Lobby of the East Building. There will be print kiosks to collect your name badge and lanyard from, as well as a program at a glance booklet. 

The registration desk will be open at the following times:

  • Thursday, July 20          07:30 – 19:30
  • Friday, July 21              07:00 – 18:30
  • Saturday, July 22          07:00 – 18:30
  • Sunday, July 23            07:00 – 15:00

WIFI ACCESS

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at the venue for IPPA attendees. To connect, please use the following network and password: 

  • NETWORK ID: IPPA World Congress Vancouver
  • PASSWORD: vancouver (all lower case)

CONGRESS CONNECTORS

You will notice our wonderful volunteers are called Congress Connectors. You will see them around the venue and program sessions, identifiable by their Connector t-shirts. Feel free to ask them any questions, or for assistance with wayfinding and navigating the program. 

SMOKING POLICY

Smoking is prohibited everywhere within the Vancouver Convention & Center. There are designated smoking areas outside the building.
