Background

The paper's research is an artefact using proactive work behavior and job demands-resources (JD-R) theories to induce proactive behavioral strategies to improve the internal organizational environment, which is job crafting. The paper also consists of future considerations of playful work design where the intervention looks at the employee's work pressure as a moderator to indicate the job demand and work pressure in the organization. 

Aims

The artefact is to increase the personal resources of the employee. The personal resource is the psychological capital of Hope, Efficiency, Resilience, and Optimism, and the acronym for HERO. In managing the high-stress demand of work and challenges from their daily work. Many studies have shown that job characteristics affect employee well-being, for example, job strain, burnout, lost motivation, and low work engagement. Research revealed that high work pressure and job demand might lead to the employee leaving the organization. The lack of job resources such as social support, performance feedback, and autonomy will influence the engagement and motivation level of the employee. 

Method

The artefact intervention uses Appreciative Inquiry as a framework and positive psychology coaching in helping the employee to establish the agenda in the job crafting. Discovery of new insight to imagine, plan and create their future reality in proactive behaviors. 

Results

In the Job demand resource model, the artefact is to balance or increase the personal resources of the employee, which is the psychological capital of hope, efficacy, resilience, and optimism.

The artefact provides the user Optimism, Resilience, and self-efficacy. They are hopeful and give a multi-pathway of agency for their well-being, work, and engagement in the workplace. The design provides user-centric enabled learning, which reframes behaviors and habits to achieve the future human way. 

Conclusion

Exploring positive psychology coaching will create new awareness with a fresh perspective and insight and leads to strategizing mode of planning and behavior in accountability.
