Modern life exposes human beings to the need to face, cope with, and even initiate constant changes both in the individual level and in the global level – looking for sustainable development.  Thus, one of the main challenges of modern life is the need to be able to adapt to changes and the way one can understand the importance and the way it is possible to adopt to changes. The presentation present positive psychology components which are evidence based and help people to adapt to change, based on three major theories. Systems theory explains the importance of stability and change.  Cognitive-behavioral theory suggests ways for guiding human processes of change – how to change thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, how to reinforce small steps, how to raise motivation, etc. Positive psychology theories aim to increase the flourishing of human beings by focusing on resources, strengths, and virtues. The presentation focuses on scientific evidence-based model for change, which combines theoretical understanding, research outcomes, case conceptualizations, examples, and demonstrations. Three large-scale projects will be presented in detail to illustrate the guidance of change processes: the national project for empowerment of children and adolescents by reducing aggression; the music for social change project with the Israeli philharmonic orchestra; and the positive sustainability model for guiding change processes in India. Thus, these examples will address not only individual change processes but also environmental change processes.
