Dr. Marie Sizemore has a background in developmental science (i.e. Child and Family Studies, Ph.D. and Clinical Psychology, M.S.) and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Core Faculty in the Center for Population Behavioral Health at Rutgers Institute for Health. She is also affiliated with Rutgers Addictions Research Center and teaches Research Methods in the Masters of Applied Positive Psychology Program at Philidelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Sizemore's primary research interests are rooted in prevention/intervention science, including translating evidence-based interventions for mHealth delivery. Specifically, her work examines how adaptive intervention designs can be leveraged to optimize mHealth delivery of positive affect interventions prior to efficacy testing in a standard RCT. Currently, she is MPI on a project to adapt an app-based just-in-time adaptive intervention for sexual minority men (SMM) living with HIV and comorbid stimulant use. She is also MPI on a pilot project in collaboration with MIT media lab to develop a virtual gaming tool to reduce physician stigma toward SMM patients with substance use disorders.
