Cindy Pury is Professor and Undergraduate Coordinator of Psychology at Clemson University. She has been researching the psychology of courageous behavior for the past 20 years and is the author of numerous papers and chapters on the topic. Together with Shane Lopez, she edited APA's The Psychology of Courage: Modern Research on an Ancient Virtue. She is also an Associate Editor at the Journal of Positive Psychology, and an improv performer and instructor for Alchemy Comedy in Greenville, South Carolina.
