Pamela Ebstyne King is the Peter L. Benson Professor of Applied Developmental Science in the School of Psychology and Executive Director of the Thrive Center at Fuller Theological Seminary. Her applied research focuses on human thriving that contributes to a flourishing world. Her current research includes studies on the nature and function of spiritual development; the role of transcendent beliefs, narratives, and emotions in virtue development; and environments that promote thriving for diverse persons. Her research has been published in various journals such as Developmental Psychology, Psychology of Religion and Spirituality, Applied Developmental Science, Journal of Early Adolescence, Journal of Positive Psychology, Journal of Psychology and Theology, and Journal of Research on Adolescence. King is coauthor of The Reciprocating Self: Human Development in Theological Perspective and Thriving with Stone-Aged Minds: Evolutionary Psychology, Christian Faith, and Human Flourishing, coeditor of The Handbook of Spiritual Development in Childhood and Adolescence.
