Adrienne Buckingham is a Senior Lecturer in the New Zealand Certificate of Health and Wellbeing at Otago Polytechnic. As an educator, she is interested in evidence-based wellbeing and believes that who we are and how we find connection with each other can impact on ourselves, our whānau/family, our hapū/communities and the world. She has an honours degree in Psychology and English Literature, a postgraduate diploma in teaching and spent many years teaching in high schools. In 2017, she started a Diploma in Positive Psychology and Wellbeing. She went on to do a pilot study teaching resilience and wellbeing to adolescents. The data from this was used to complete a Master’s in Psychology. Adrienne then shared this knowledge by training colleagues around the New Zealand Aotearoa.
