As the Director of Preventative Services at the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis, Dr. Dotson focuses on early intervention, with the aim of preventing the use and escalation of restrictive interventions through the lifespan. She is a Napa Infant-Parent Mental Health Fellow and co-founder/executive director of the MIRAGE Syndrome and Related Disorders Association, assisting families in navigating the emotional, medical and educational systems associated with caring for a child with a medically complex condition. Her research in the area of intellectual and developmental disabilities has been presented in peer-reviewed publications and at over 40 academic and professional conferences.
