Emily Bartley, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Dentistry and Behavioral Science at the University of Florida. She also works in the UF Pain Research & Intervention Center of Excellence (PRICE), an organization whose mission is to improve the understanding and management of chronic pain through excellence in pain research, treatment, and education. Dr. Bartley’s current research interests predominantly focus on investigating the biological and psychosocial factors that impact chronic pain and how these mechanisms affect patient response to intervention. She is particularly interested in adaptive processes that foster resilience in pain, with an emphasis on the development of targeted clinical interventions that promote resilience, goal-directed behavior, and positive health.
